Leica M4-P

In 1981, Leitz updated the viewfinder on the M4-2 to create the M4-P. The viewfinder shows framelines in pairs to cover 28mm through 135mm. They are 28mm and 90mm together, 50mm and 75mm, and finally 35mm and 90mm.

Most M4-P cameras were finished in black chrome, but a small number were finished in chrome and carried special marking commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Leica prototype.

Also, 200 cameras were specially marked to celibrate the Canadian assent on Mount Everest in 1982.
