 Ihagee Exa I

The cosmetic changes to the Exakta was applied to the Exa line in 1961 with the
introduction of the Exa I series. The nameplate is marked "EXA I" in
bold letters on a black background. The sector shutter was carried over from the
earlier Exa models, but the shutter speeds are now selected with a more
conventional shutter speed dial. The back is removed for loading film, instead
of hinging open. They still accept the finders for the Exakta.

 Version 1 (1963-64)
The early version does not have strap lugs. Serial numbers run from 100,000
 to 150,000.

 Version 2 (1964-65)
The late version does
have strap lugs, otherwise it is the same as the first version. Serial numbers
 run from 150,000 to 175,000.
