180/2.8 Zeiss Olympia Sonnar for Contarex

One of the most exciting lenses introduced for the Contax was the 180/2.8 Olympia Sonnar, which was released in time for the 1936 Berlin Olympics. An updated version of the design was introduced for the Contarex system. It was an expensive lens, costing $515 in 1968. Rather than having a helical focus mount, it was focused using a knob on the side.

The Zeiss product code for the lens is 11.2425.
