35/3.5 Zeiss Planar for Contax
The 35/3.5 Planar.
Introduced as a lower cost alternative than the 35mm Biogon, the Planar was a five elemnt/four group
design. One of the most unusual features is the double diaphragm, designed to allow the lens to stop
down to f/22. It was introduced in 1954, and abot 5000 were built.
