An online guide to collectable cameras and related stuff

Canon Canonflex RP

The original Canonflex was replaced by two models in June 1960, the RP and the R2000. The RP was the stripped down version of the two. The finder was fixed, to reduce cost, yet like all Canonflex models, it lacked an accessory shoe. This model was available in black, with a matching black meter. Black examples are very difficult to find.

The RP was discontinued in January 1962. About 30,000 were sold.

The camera in black. It is more common in chrome, and I should have one somewhere but I currently can't find it. Does that mean I have too much stuff?
