Bolsey Reflex (Alpa)

The Alpa Reflex II was sold in the US through Karl Heiz as the Bolsey Reflex. Like the Alpa Reflex, it has a cloth shutter with speeds of 1-1000, which was knob wind. The rangefinder was laid out in the typical horizontal design. The finish of the exposed metal frame was bright chrome.

Production was 323 units, reportedly none of which were equipped with flash synchronization. Examples with flash synch do exist, so it is likely the modification was done using Alpa Reflex II parts, possibly even before they were sold by Heiz. Production was between 1946-48.
