Canon Model P Japanese Self-
Defense Forces
A small number of Canon P cameras were sold to the Japanese Self
Defense Forces. The ground based forces marked their cameras with a red cherry
blossom. The naval units marked theirs with a cherry blossom and an anchor, as
illustrated here. These cameras are rarely seen outside of Japan.
