58/1.2 Taika Harigon for Exakta
Taika, an optical company in Japan produced the fastest lens
made for the Exakta, the 58/1.2 Harigon. It is one of the few lenses produced
that uses the outer bayonet, so it will not fit cameras earlier than the 1954
second version of the Exakta VX. The lens has a preset diaphragm, and the rear
element protrudes beyond the lens mount, and is unprotected, making this lens
prone to scratches on the rear element.
