The Super Ikonta III was given the catalog number 531/16, even though it bore no resemblance to the earlier 531 or 531/2 Super Ikonta cameras. It was fitted with either a Novar or Tessar lens in Synchro-Compur shutter. It was produced from 1954-58.
The last Super Ikonta to be produced was the Super Ikonta IV, 534/16. It was like the Super Ikonta III with a built in selenium exposure meter. It was fitted with the annoying LVS system, which locks the aperture and shutter speeds together. You change one, you've changed both. You have to release a lock to actually make an adjustment in exposure value. The Super Ikonta IV was only available with the 75/3.5 Tessar in Synchro-Compur. It was available from 1956 until 1960, although a batch of new cameras were remaindered out in 1983.
