Lenses and Accessories for Contaflex III, IV, Rapid, Super, Super B, Super BC and S

Contaflex cameras with Tessar interchangeable front element lenses could use 35, 85 and 115 Pro Tessar lenses, which were supplied with front cap in a plastic bubble case. These lenses are very prone to separation in the front element group.

The Prima accepts the standard Contaflex magazine back, the Alpha and Beta don't.  They could also use and right angle magnifier (20.1614 for $17.00), cassettes (20.0300 for $6.00) and take up spool ( 20.0001 for $0.45).

These lenses took S27 (screw in) and A28.5 (slip on) filters,  Proxar close up lenses and lens shades.

The Pro-Tessar 35mm lenses came in f/3.2 and f/4 varieties.

The 85 Pro-Tessar lenses also came in f/3.2 and f/4 varieties. The 85/4 is illustrated above has a couple of spots of separation.

The 115/4 Pro-Tessar, with bubble

A couple of lenses exhibiting separation, which in the Pro-Tessar lenses has a rainbow like look.

A set of lenses in the bubbles.  It is common for the bubbles to have lots of cloudiness and scratches.
