Rolleiflex 4x4 original model
The original 4x4 Rolleiflex, shown with it's case.
Introduced in 1931, it takes 4x4cm photos on 127 film. There are four different models, two with 60/3.5 tessar lenses, and two with 60/2.8 Tessar lenses. Later models, available with both lenses had 1/500 shutters instead of the earlier 1/300, a larger focusing knob, an exposure chart on the back, and levers on the shutter speed setting ring. These cameras were actually the first Rolleiflexes to use the crank wind.
